a) reminder: Friday evening 6:30 at the garden be there or be ⁄ • After the potluck Justin, some friends & I are going to ride the East Bay Bike Path in search of fireflies. All are welcome. If it really rains, we’ll come up with an alternative plan, but if it only sprinkles, everything is still on 🙂
b) addendum: Ras Rody will be talking and sharing from his book ” Ras Rody Organics” Sips, bites & sweets… yay! I’m already intrigued! Ras is a new gardener this year, and it’s been a real pleasure getting to know him and Michelle (plot 91).
c) a couple things for newcomers! The “Landfill Recovery Act” is always in place at our potlucks. What could this clever name possibly infer, you might wonder? We don’t use disposables at the garden. It’s a good plan for you to bring your own plates, utensils (for serving & eating) and cups, then take ’em home withya! We have a few things on hand at the garden that someone takes home to wash for those forgetful types, but the less work someone has to do, the better! (add: something to sit on, too!! I forgot this in the email!)
d) We’ll have a sort-of all garden meeting at the potluck, probably around 7. It’s a good time to check in with each other, address any community issues (locking gates, anyone?) and try to come up with positive solutions. I stated 6:30 as the time, but try to show up closer to 6 if you can to help set up. The garden is truly looking AMAZING this year, and I know I say it every year, but usually I’m just blowing smoke. This time I mean it. 🙂
I can’t wait to see you tomorrow!
