Hi gardeners ‘n’ wait listA few quick things:

A) Keri won’t be at the garden tomorrow night because some work is being done on the hive and I am allergic.

Via Kimbly: Tomorrow, Friday, April 26th, we will be doing a full HIVE INSPECTION at 3:30. The bees will be very active and possibly a bit feisty, please be aware of this if you plan to be in the garden between 3:30 – 6:00 pm. All are invited to attend and participate or just watch, but please bring protective gear.
B) please don’t use the lime that is on the pallet in the shed. It is for the baseball field and is not food grade.
C) There are wood chips at the garden! Next time you see our city workers (and our resident councilman!), thank them for doing such a great job! Now, get to spreading them chips on the pathways! (Just maybe not tomorrow, Friday >> See point  A)
D) there is a small pile of compost in the parking lot. It is part of an individual group purchase. Please don’t take this material; it was purchased by a small group of gardeners that were in need of an immediate delivery. No funds from the garden were used in the purchase. With that said, we are going to talk about compost delivery options at the next board meeting (thurs., may 2, 6pm at the garden). As a reminder, all resident gardeners are welcomed to attend board meetings. Your opinions matter!

Lastly, I want to thank all of you for your hard work at the garden last weekend. Like many of you, I have a very busy work schedule, so I hadn’t been able to visit the garden until this evening. Kimbly noted, and I agreed, that the whole garden is looking spectacular, really. So thank you again.
———- to wait list, I’m hoping to make up garden hours over the weekend. I’ll be sending you a note with more details as to when we can meet up and get the last few plots assigned!
